Hi! My name is Lila Matthiesen and I am the owner and founder of Lila Grace Designs.
I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Austin, Hook ’Em! My passion for art began long before college and continues to grow as I expand my creative work.
Throughout high school at Ursuline Academy, I served as Mural and Hallway Co-Chair of Ursuline Intramurals for all four years and earned a first-place win in Mural my senior year. I was also a member of the National Art Honor Society, designed the Senior Polo Logo Shirt, and painted a large mural for the Senior Closet. These experiences shaped my love for large-scale design, branding, and creating meaningful artwork for my community.
At UT, I am a member of Chi Omega, where I continue to use my creativity through event design, apparel concepts, and chapter-related artwork. Being involved in Chi Omega has allowed me to expand my work into sorority branding, designs, custom merchandise, and personalized pieces that celebrate sisterhood and campus life. Creating for my chapter has strengthened my passion for designing meaningful pieces that bring people together.
Lila Grace Designs was founded the summer before my senior year of high school as a way to create custom artwork for friends and classmates. What started as a small passion project quickly grew into a business serving multiple schools across the district, with expanded offerings and custom designs tailored to each client.
LGD is my creative outlet and my entrepreneurial passion. Through this business, I combine art, design, and storytelling to bring ideas to life in a way that feels personal and unique.
